Step 14 - Success / Failure Stories

MGID Contest
This upper-level view shows you the aggregate results, @Anan28 including any profits that might be present at deeper levels but got cancelled out by the overwhelming losing majority.

But if this is Round 1, the total campaign profitability "should" be negative, because you have not yet optimized it.

You must polish your campaign by doing several rounds, as explained in this Mega Guide.
Do a Drilldown Report, or use the navigation menu at the very top of the BeMob interface to view the sub-parameters of your campaign. This is how you dig for the gems among the dirt...

...it's how you prepare for the next round.

...it's how we optimize.

aside: I got approved by following the instructions as explained here and I also replied to the email sent by my affiliate manager (don't ignore them).
I'm afraid you got it wrong. He had zero conversions.

I followed Luke's guide exactly step by step. The only difference is I ran offers from other network (with specific links) as I am not approved by @MOBIPIUM even after 10 days.

Can anybody give an idea what went wrong that there is not a single conversion?
I think your problem is that you aren't promoting a push subscription offer like this guide shows, which is way differerent than a sweepstakes or MMO offer. The conversion flows are completely different.

@MOBIPIUM is usually pretty quick to respond to new applications. Did you reply to their emails?

Hmmmm, this doesn’t really apply because you didn’t use the offer so you could really go step-by-step. That’s okay, but you should create a separate follow along campaign thread in the PPV section.

I can help you get approved. Send me an email like the guide says 👍😀

Right. It turns out the same thing happened to me. The payout went from a reasonably profitable 0.05 USD to complete shit (around 0.01 USD). Needless o, ito say, I can't continue this campaign now.

@Luke, is this kind of thing common? How does one combat this other than begging the AM?
Yes, this is common with this offer. You can wait until they have a check to check quality. Asking the AM is not a problem. It’s their job to check these sorts of things, right @MOBIPIUM?

i also mentioned in the guide for scaling you might want to find an offer with a more static payout. For example, EvaDav and DatsPush both provide flat CPAs per GEO. You can also find push offers on most affiliate networks like ClickDealer and Mobidea.

Hey @Frrrunkis and Luke,

Of course, feel free to contact your AM to ask for help in these cases.

Regards,

MOBIPIUM Affiliates Team.

Hey @Anan28 and Nick,

We normally accept Applications immediately after receiving the answers to the first email. Please, check if you got it and if you replied.
If you did so but you were not accepted yet, feel free to reach us here via Private Conversation and we will help you.

Thanks! I'm already on it with ClickDealer, will check out Evadav and DatsPush shortly. I don't think Mobidea has any push sub offers though.

You should ask your AM. They had some I was running for a few months.

Hey Luke,

It is an awesome, comprehensive and valuable guide. In fact, it has resolved all my issues I have been struggling with over the years, particularly tracking and optimizing campaigns.

I hope you will be releasing more such guides with the combinations of different offers and traffic sources.

Thanks a lot, Luke!
I have the same request to Luke, we would like to see more guides with more different offers and traffic sources, and how to optimize our own landing pages.

Great guys you have done your first steps on AM ,
, we would like to see more guides with more different offers and traffic sources, and how to optimize our own landing pages.

If you started with it checked any follow along , case study , threads for each traffic type For example , Puch notification
You can make your own guides , from all experienced fourm members
I personally do that

1st $5 spend

After changes - (drop all but 6 countries - Iraq, Egypt, Mexico, Philippines, Turkey, Brazil)

cumulative

2nd $5 spend

After offer changes (drop No Loop and Movie offers)

cumulative

3rd $5 spend - Wow, seeing green!

Thanks for this step-by-step guide Luke!

As promised, I saw conversions and accumulated enough data to have a much better idea of how to optimize POP traffic.

Love that you got it green. I was a little concerned after the first few screenshots ;)

Thank you, Luke, for this great guide! It was fun to follow along, and I learned a lot. But my results were not that good. Overall after $10 spent, I got an ROI of -95%.

After the first $5 spent, my ROI was -91.11%. I had 12 conversions, but all in different countries.

Because I had three "green" countries (but with only 1 conversion each), I decided to go with these three countries: Morocco, Italy, and Mexico. I routed the traffic from Morocco and Italy only to the Football offer and the traffic from Mexico only to the Movies offer (with rules in Bemob).

After the second $5 spent, it looked worse than before, with an ROI of -98.45% and 39 conversions.

As you can see, I didn't get paid for the conversions from Mexico. I'm in contact with my AM.

And here the summary after $10 spent:

Because my transactions are suspended at PopAds and I didn't hear back from their support in 48 hours (!), I can't run the next round.

My lessons learned:
- I have to be more patient
- I have to collect more data before I decide (run the campaign with 4-6 countries and with all offers for the second $5 round).

Thank you, Luke, for this great guide!

Sorry they're being a pain. They could definitely use some improvement with their support, but it's always been like this so I don't see it changing anytime soon.

Thank you, Luke, for this great guide!
You're welcome. Glad you learned a thing or two :D

Thanks @Luke for this guide. It turned profitable after $10 spend, but I need to optimize it more for scaling and learn this process to implement in other offers and campaigns. Thanks again :)

Thanks @Luke for the awesome guide - very informational.

Here are my results after the first $5 (that was quick):

Mexico was (and is) the best performing country. I removed all the other countries and ran Mexico + Myanmar (even though it had just 1 conv.) + Peru + Poland (it was the best-performing out of the ones in the red). After about two hours, the campaign started performing even worse so I went for Mexico + Website ID placements. I also removed two worst-performing offers.

Here's the result for it so far (didn't spend all $10 yet as the traffic to those websites is really slow:

And here's how it looks like for today only - it went over 20% a while ago but started going down. Not sure what could be improved especially with such a small amount of traffic but it was a great learning experience.

I'll let it run until the funds run out and might add another $5 to see how long the green will last.

I might also re-run it for one more country for $5 to see if I find profitable placements faster.

I guess the next step after that would be to start a follow along - but I haven't decided if I should stick to pops or go for push (as these seem a bit more popular). Any suggestions? Looking to promote WH offers only as that's ultimately the direction that I want to take.

A follow along would be cool. See how much you can scale this. Then, you can start looking into push as well :)
