Followed the guide and happy with what I have so far. Not profit-making yet but I'm very thankful for this guide because it has given me some clarity on what to test and optimize.
I'm running to Evadav instead of MOBIPIUM because my MOBIPIUM account isn't approved yet. Evadav got me in immediately and I had both publisher and advertiser managers contacting me within an hour. Efficiency!
First $5 run:
Wasn't expecting to see so many green zones to be honest! Overall -73% ROI but happy for a sea of green (at least for page 1 of countries, lol). Since I had about 13 countries in the green I decided to remove all other countries and go to the next round with these 13.
Second $5 run:
A sea of red now - but I had one timing where I was profitable! My overall ROI for this run was also only -19%, so I'm on the right track.
I was curious however about whether I had ruled out too many countries too early. I had originally planned to run this second test with countries that had an ROI above average, but had gone with only running countries in the green from the first time.
To satisfy my curiosity I decided to add back another 13 countries that had above average ROI from the first run and add more offers to test. Originally I was testing 5 offers and expanded this to 11. I also dropped one offer that was underperforming in the first round and cut some website IDs that had already gathered a few hundred visits with ROI clearly below average.
ROI will probably drop, but I wanted to see how these countries and offers would do.
3rd $5 run:
Well as expected, I was in the red again of -70% ROI.
I filtered for my data from all 3 runs, and picked off the above average countries for the next round.
There were some countries that made it into this list that weren't in my list for the 2nd round, so that tells me this wasn't an entirely wasted run.
There were also more countries that smashed it in the 1st run that were proving to be loss making. Seems like their performance in the 1st run was either a fluke, or perhaps it had to do with the time of day. However the aim is to find countries that consistently do well, so I'm perfectly happy to drop these countries.
My 4th $5 run is still going, but it's looking like a -55% ROI for now. I suspect this may be due to the offers as I added a lot more in the previous round, so that may be what I optimize next.
Question:
How is everyone analysing their stats if they're running a few rounds per day? Even if you filter by hour of day, if your traffic runs over a couple of hours, that's still a few screens to work through?
I'm extracting the data into excel and grouping them so I can see the stats for a single round, but it would be great if there is an easier way to do this in Bemob.
