Day Two Results

After the great success of the first day I bumped the daily budget right up to try and maximize my ROI, when I looked at my tracker stats I though wow this baby is really flying but after checking propeller wasn't so impressive.

I got a message this morning from my AM informing me that the offer payout was being cut by 20% which could account for the figures not being as good as you might have expected as I think the cut went through last night not this morning!

It seems click loss is up slightly today but that is to be expected with more click in total, although despite the big increase in budget the number are not that far from the previous day which is interesting. Not sure why the is such a big gap between costs though, might have to spend some time looking into that?

All the landers are still doing well so will leave them again

As are the offers

Looking at some of the other factors like hour of the day and zone id's didn't show me anything that i should cut right now. However, as there was a 20% drop in the offer payout so I have paused this campaign and made a duplicate with a new bid, only time will tell if that performs as well.

That click loss is a bit higher than I'd like on pops.
Is your server located near the geo you're buying traffic from?

Great follow along!

Day Three Results

Day two seemed to go well despite the 20% payout drop so I thought why not kick it up another gear and launch some more campaigns in more geo's, so I did :p

As usual looking at my tracker I feel like I'm doing awesomely but when I check Propeller it seems not so much but it's all good as these are new campaigns and can't all be like the start of the first one now can they!!

I paused the v1 campaign and started the v2 as they're CPA Goal 2 so you can't reduce the bid you have to stop and duplicate which is what I have done, v3 & v4 are new campaigns in different geo's

So all in all looks like my ROI dropped to -17.06% yesterday but I do now have 4 campaigns, click loss seems to be between 20 to 25% which isn't terrible but obviously would like that to be better, something to work on I guess.

I also decided to create a few more landers yesterday although looking at the stats don't look like I actually added them to any campaigns, DOH!
I'm not to bothered with the low ROI on these today as I started the 3 new campaigns, if tomorrows stats are still low then i might look to cut.

Same goes for the offers, they look consistent just down on the day lets see what tomorrow brings before considering cutting any.

Well day three was a bit down on the previous highs of the last 2 days but as we know things go up and down in this game, just happy I'm still seeing conversions and with a bit of luck tomorrow will look a whole lot healthier.

So far I am really pleased with how things are progressing and will hopefully start tweaking campaigns soon to get that little bit extra if I can.

Day Four Results

Right update time, its looks like while I'm still doing well the competition has got hotter and my daily spend for several campaigns has dropped
quite a bit, that'll teach me to create follow alongs......!!!

But as I expected the new campaigns have performed much better and turned that magical (or is it mythical?) green colour

MY ROI is back in the green although not the heady highs of the first couple days but profit is profit! Click loss is about the same as previous day

Still not got round to adding the new landers in yet, will do that over the weekend

Offer pages all seem to be doing well still so leave them be

So another good day, not as good as I'd hoped but I'm in the green and look like they have plenty of oomph left so I'll look at adding those new landers and maybe do a little optimising over the weekend. May look at restarting my original campaign as well (v1) as although the offer payout was cut by 20% it still seemed to be doing OK with the slightly higher bid, or possibly spilt the difference and go in between and create a new one?

Lots to think about and consider but now its time for a cold beer after a long week.

@agentf Awesome FA dude keep at it, maybe what you can do is start testing PA's sCPM bidding method once you have a solid understanding of what segments are working!

Day Five Results

Just a quick update today as been busy day, everything is ticking over nicely

Click seemed to jump up on one of the campaigns yesterday, hoping its just a one off and settles back down tomorrow but will keep an eye on that, otherwise much of a muchness from the day before.

Landers still going strong

As are the offers

I have made some tweaks to my JavaScript and pages which was more a tidy up than improvement for ROI but we'll see how that fares, also trying a new tough geo but will probably just pause that as doesn't look like its going anywhere except to hell. Let's keep this party going..!

Day Six Results
I launched a few campaigns on different traffic sources today just to see if I can push this while its still earning, also tried a T1 geo briefly but it performed terribly so just cut it quick before losing loads!

I also enabled CloudFlare caching as for some strange reason it wasn't enabled for my landing page server, must have had a few too many glasses of wine when I set that up...

Click loss still seems a little high on v3 so will have to investigate that see if there is anything I can do otherwise everything seems OK

Added the new landers to my failed T1 geo test so that's why they are showing up here

Offers still going strong

Another day another dollar but its all in the right direction, right back to my Sunday routine

Hi @agentf
Nice journey you got there. Would you mind sharing where we can get these type of landers for the betting survey? Did you use Adplexity? Or you just created your lander?

Apologies yesterday got away from me, think I may have over indulged at the weekend, so 2 updates for today :p

Day Seven Results
So I have hit day 7, a whole week of running this follow along with almost daily profits which is just amazing and today was another good day. Plenty of clicks, conversions and shades of green, here's out the day looked stats wise:

Yesterdays Stats from Binom

Click loss still seems high but the profilt is also going up so not massively worried just yet, otherwise everything feels good and looking forward to next week.

Landers are up and look to be doing well

As are the offers

All in all a very nice end to the first week, far better than I expected it to be and am super happy with it so far,. What surprises will week two bring I wonder...?

@agentf rocking 43% CTR on his landers and killing it in terms of profits. Meanwhile me running these offers:

It took me a while to get my game up to par, for me it was mostly its about focus.
My thought process to get me where I needed to be
  • Pick a network
  • Pick a tracker
  • Pick a traffic source
  • Pick a type of offer/niche
And I made sure I stuck to those, with that all sorted I could now focus on the rest, like
  • Making simple landers
  • Pick push or pops
  • Pick a GEO
  • Budgeting and bids for that GEO
Once I did this a few times I started to get a process down, it's still far from perfect but for me it helps to get me to focus on what matters and not jumping from one network, offer/niche, traffic source to another and going round in circles getting no where fast!

How was the quality check?
From what I see in this FA you are promoting one campaign in one country and you have far exceeded the $ 200 limit that was for someone who was just starting to promote this offer, I may have missed but I did not see you say anything about this check. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
Anyway, I think you are either very lucky or very good at what you do, or both:), but the campaign became profitable from the first and you successfully passed the quality check.(y)πŸ‘Œ

Regarding the traffic loss...

I've noticed on some traffic sources, that if you compare traffic per zone in your traffic source vs traffic per zone in your tracker you might find some interesting results.

I use API for this (I pull the stats for yesterday from traffic source, and the stats for yesterday from tracker) and I've noticed that there are some zones that have click loss more than 20%. And there are some zones that have like 5%.

So it's not always the traffic source. Like traffic source 1 has click loss of 20%, traffic source 2 has click loss 15% etc.

Let's say you buy traffic from 2 zones:
1000 visits from zone 1 with click loss 30%
1000 visits from zone 2 with click loss 5%

In this case your click loss would be high. But if zone 1 is giving you negative ROI, and you would pause it eventually, maybe you could consider cutting that zone sooner. And in this case get back to 5% click loss which is OK.

I know comparing these reports might be complicated, but I see you use Excel, so maybe you could use API also.

Maybe just for start, you could compare traffic for like top 5 zones in your campaigns. Be sure that campaign and tracker are set to same time zone.

PropellerAds offers API access :)

Oh god now you've jinxed me!

This follow along I have been promoting one offer in multiple GEO's (the v1 - v6 on the campaigns).

Have to be honest not 100% about the quality thing, started trying these offers out back in May when we had the Zeydoo contest but never really had much luck, since then I've refined my process (see above) and decided to follow @Nick's course hence this FA.

Just reached out to my AM to find out if that's already been done or not.

That is interesting thanks will look into that, when I've stopped worrying about the cap obviously!! lol

I was actually thinking this morning how can I automate things a bit more and the reporting a bit seemed ideal. I have written some scripts a while back to get data from Binom and PropellerAds API's for something else so I don't think it would be that to hard to get what I wanted.

Guess I need to sit down and work out what data I want from each source and how I'm going to process it then stitch it all together.

It would be awesome to open an email with a report from the previous day so could spend more time watching cats on youtube, errr mean doing work....!!!
