Summary: Overall this was a really good exercise to learn how to run pop ads and to read data.. that too at cost of just $10.

Now, I am thinking to run mainstream smartlink offers. Any good smartlink network suggestion? Along with pop traffic suggestion.

Feel free to ask questions if you have any.

Thanks
Sarvesh

Hi Sarvesh,

How long did it take to burn the 10$ on PopAds? Did your campaign run over the entire day or only for few hours?

Thanks,
Giorgio

Hi guys, I had also applied all that I learnt in the guide but I'm having a major issue. The best performing countries are not getting paid at all. I'm only being paid in Europe, North America and some Asia, where the traffic is expensive and I barely get results. Africa, South America, and half Asia are giving me a payout of 0$, and I know if I was getting 0.03-0.04$ there, I would be in deep green territory.

First I run a Global test where I got every single conversion paid but a few days later I split the campaigns by GEO and then the problems started. My AM says that the smartlink algorithm first pays all conversions (as in my Global test) but then adjusts the payout depending on the traffic quality, and that's why in my posterior campaigns I'm getting a 0$ payout. I must add that I'm running this in PopAds, which has the AdScore validation and should block bot traffic, and I'm focusing on high-quality websites (5+-7+, depending on the country) and blacklisting non-performing IDs.

But if I stop advertising in not paying countries, as some of you suggested earlier in this post, it's impossible to get even a semi-decent revenue (I would be happy with 10$ days lol), as the countries left are very expensive and not profitable, or too small to spend even a 2,5$ budget in a single day.

How you guys are handling this issue? @Luke, @jimmyvanilla I'm especially interested in your points of view as I know you are managing to get good numbers with this smartlink.

Hey @Widomaniac

This guide is really about learning to optimize - rather than providing a blueprint for much profit. The thing about this smartlink is that it converts like crazy, which means you can generate lots of data for a couple of bucks and then throw yourself at analysing it. Most of the time you won't make much profit, but hang in there and keep going even if you're only making a few cents or a dollar a day. You're most likely to make $10/day with this SL by maintaining 20 campaigns that make $0.50/day. I've really only been able to make some money with this because I've worked out a few tricks that only revealed themselves because I've spent so much time doing it again and again.

I'm only being paid in Europe, North America and some Asia, where the traffic is expensive and I barely get results.

I'm only running Europe, North America and some Asia (Hint: it really comes does to getting your bid right and you'll only work that out by a lot of testing and analysis).

My AM says that the smartlink algorithm first pays all conversions (as in my Global test) but then adjusts the payout depending on the traffic quality,

In Mobipium's eyes 'traffic quality' means the subscribers you generate are clicking and converting for them, which isn't necessarily the same thing as PopAds definition of quality.

Hello.

This is my result of my test with $15 budget and well I hope this is well.

I need more help but I don't know what to do.
So you have run this campaign for one day and have only lost $1.51, which is a great start. 👍 Have you done any optimising at all? If not, start with steps 10 and 11 of the guide.

Well, something went really wrong with mine on the third go. I optimized by allowing only two countries - Columbia and Argentina which had been profitable the day before in broader testing. I also limited the test to 3 campaigns, again those that were profitable.

I eliminated many website IDs leaving only 55.

I bought $5 of traffic.

The traffic started about 1:30pm yesterday and everything was going well. When I went to bed, there was about $1.60 in profit and only half the budget spent.

Everything seemed fine this morning but then something happened and Argentina was no longer performing. A few hours later, Columbia was no longer performing. Now everything seems to be negative.

I still have $1.60 out of the $5 to spend but I have paused the camp because it doesn't seem worth it to continue with the same set of parameters.

Not sure what exactly went wrong. Will have to do some digging.

But also, I might start over again. Not sure yet.

But I do have about $9.20 in my mobipium acct, so considering I spent $13.40 and have alot of it back, I think that was a good start, I hope.

Do you mean the payouts decreased?

That's not a bad start at all :)

To be honest, @Luke , I wasn't sure yet what the problem was, but since you mentioned the payout, I just went back to the first day I ran the camp and the average was about $0.03. The numbers were profitable that day.

Now, yesterday when everything was negative, the payout seems to be about $0.01. So that would make a big difference.

I have to watch that much closer in the future. I don't see anywhere in @MOBIPIUM to get detailed stats. All I did right now to check was divide the revenue by the conversions in bemob. Is there a more efficient way to do this while the camp is running so I can find these kinds of shifts more quickly?

If you click on Stats in the menu on the left you will see general stats broken down by day for your account.

If you want more detailed stats for a particular campaign, click on My Campaigns in the menu and then click on the first icon (green) in the ACTIONS column for the campaign you want stats for. This opens a Stats page for that campaign and you can then click on the the Excel icon to export detailed stats.

Hi sisserou,

How are you?
We have a tab for Stats where you can filter by offer/geo/days etc.

Make sure to reach out to your AM from MOBIPIUM. They seem very helpful 👍

I was embarrassed to ask because I have so little money in the account and am just getting started. By I will ask in the future when I am unsure. Thx @Luke.

Thx for taking the time to explain @MOBIPIUM
