I finally got around to watching this after being told by many people to watch it.
It’s about Cambridge analytica and around data.
Some of it’s a little far fetched for me but there is some interesting stuff.
It starts telling how (allegedly) Cambridge analytica used data from Facebook to run a campaign for the trump election. They knew how and who to target (undecided voters in areas that could help the campaign). It kind of reminded me of affiliate marketing on how you need to know your audience, target them, buy/grow data and optimize.
I’m not looking to start a discussion on ethics or whether or not I agree with the documentary of the company involved. It just seemed somewhat interesting around the data and targeting portion.
