Step 14 - Success / Failure Stories

MGID Contest
Hi everyone, thanks @Luke for this guide. Nobody else will show this staff to the beginners with such details. Plus help people with anything they might struggle with such patience like you do. I don't know where you find so much energy for us? :D

Need to ask something regarding the @MOBIPIUM Market menu.

1.
are all offers with fixed AP ( actual payment )? In case they are not, how to find the ones that are with fixed AP and others that have a variable AP, using filters? I think optimization would be easier for the beginners if you know in advance what you can expect to be paid by lead/sale/subscriber ...

2. What FLOWS means? Some are , I guess, self-explanatory, but I can't say that for the most. And we can not just grab a link and see what will come up, because for many offers, it is limited to just a certain country/device/carrier. I just want to have a better feeling of what I actually promote??? I come here from eComm world so maybe I'm too much used to see/feel/smell :D product I promote before I can successfully market it.

What means 1/2/3 Click(s)??? Is it like, someone subscribes for a dating site, for example, and then must click at least 1, 2 or 3 links inside the app, before you get paid?

And PIN submit -what does that mean? Is it like, customer get an SMS-text message, or email, and then he has to submit that into a form to confirm his/her subscription?

What is MO and USSD?

And there is more, oh man :p FTD ????
EDIT: I just figure out what FTD is - First Time Deposit. :p So someone has to make a deposit on a platform you promote, in order to you get paid.

3. For which sort of the flow(s) is recommended that we use our own landing page, and for which Flows it is maybe even better not to use own lander?

I could ask all this my manager, but I think many beginners don't' understand this as well, so maybe it will be useful to be here as a future reference.

The offers that list a payout are a fixed payout.

You can find the flow definitions here:

I also recommend reading through our large glossary :)

Using your LP is never a bad idea. I typically direct link carrier billing offer (1/2 click flows), but there are many benefits to a LP:

Nice to meet you, nonguruguy! If you have any questions regarding how to look for offers in MOBIPIUM's Market, I'd suggest you tell your dedicated AM to explain you a bit about how our filters work! Once you get used to it, it'd be really easy for you to look for the right offers ;)

Thanks Luke for this guide, so after doing optimization on country and website, traffic dropped and no profit from websites that were profit in my test (i didn't over optimized), this was frustrating but learned somethings, in my opinion smart link is not for newbies as it is very hard to optimize camp

Okay, so you made it all the way through our first guide. Please let us know how it went for you! It's not likely you were overly profitable with your $10 spend, but feel free to post a screenshot of your BeMob stats so we can see how you did! :)
OK - this has been a little more than food for thought.
First - thanks for the guide - it really helps. I might have figured it all out - but not in that time frame nor with the certainty that came with the guide. There is a definite respect for those who have taken this to the next level. Need to get my head around some more case studies, testing and my own testing.
I have a lot of questions - which I need to start writing down as they pop into my head.
1.) When does the roller coaster ride end?
2.) Are the smart Links capped by offer during the day? I was up, then down after being up for several hours.
3.) For continued testing and education - is sticking with smart links a smart move? I was thinking about doing 5 separate campaigns on the 5 separate smart link packs (if my terminology is correct) from Mobipium - letting each run for approx a day or two. Parsing down on countries again, and possibly ID's.
4.) Are the smart link packs volatile or unpredictable? I know it's unfair to "judge" after 3 days of fooling around with them on the outskirts, but - that's what a community is about. Also - I understand that people have had success with them - they must have.
5.) Contacting the AM - what are some good ways to say - tell me the secret - hints - tips - tricks - times - paths - etc. I am sure they are looking too.
6.) I might keep on with the smart links (see Q 3) - I'll look for some follow alongs and other info - and I need to read all 14 pages of this post before I get a better feel for other's comments. If anyone has a another good guide / follow along, etc - let me know.

I was up 90 cents today - but now down to 21 12 cents - and falling - after I though I had it down. Lost 9 cents writing this.

Good question for your account manager at MOBIPIUM.

I don't see anything wrong with it EXCEPT that the payouts are often not stable. That makes it HARD to optimize long term. Check out the Subhunter offers from Zeydoo. They're static 👍

Didn't mean to turn this into 2 replies lol. Here's the rest:

4.) Are the smart link packs volatile or unpredictable? I know it's unfair to "judge" after 3 days of fooling around with them on the outskirts, but - that's what a community is about. Also - I understand that people have had success with them - they must have.
It's because of how MOBIPIUM monetizes them on the backend. They fluctuate your payout depending on that performance.

5.) Contacting the AM - what are some good ways to say - tell me the secret - hints - tips - tricks - times - paths - etc. I am sure they are looking too.
Just be straightforward with your AMs. They want you to succeed because their network makes more money the longer you run their offers (and the more money you spend promoting them).

6.) I might keep on with the smart links (see Q 3) - I'll look for some follow alongs and other info - and I need to read all 14 pages of this post before I get a better feel for other's comments. If anyone has a another good guide / follow along, etc - let me know.
Check this thread:

Yes! We work with a daily budget per offer, per affiliate, inside the Smartlink.
Our algorithm automatically sets the caps higher if your traffic is profitable for us. But you can also ask your AM to check if the quality is good enough, if this is the case she/he will be able to manually increase it

For me, the maximum done, after optimization, is $3 of revenue for $1 spent per day. The process is so slow, and payouts decrease for the same GEO. Also a profitable GEO in the beginning becomes in red after. So we have to test again. The behavior of smartlinks is totally random. So it's never possible, at least for me, to scale a campaign, since we stick in testing-optimizing infinite loop..

Thanks Luke...
This is my first positive ROI.
This is the best guide for beginner.

@Luke
I want to create another campaign with other offers. But I'm a little confused about the budget.

For example, I'm going to promote an offer with an offer payout of $ 0.01 ... what is the ideal budget for the first test so that I can get enough data?

That's going to be a tough payout. I typically would do $10 minimum budget for any payout lower than $2.

that means only about 5 times the offer payout?
My typical is 3-5x the payout with a $10 minimum for pops. If I don't get a conversion within that amount, I pause and try a new offer.

alright, I'll use it as my formula.
Thanks Luke.

Great guide @Luke !! Just wanted to say thanks for that.

But let me share my first results to show that it is working (I am a complete newbie btw)!
The first campaign is the initial setting as well as country optimization:

The second campaign is with offer optimization based on the first optimization is still running, but seems like a decent start:

Unfortunately it takes forever to spend $10 so I have to evaluate how to get more traffic.

Let`s see what we can do further to learn.
The potential of this whole is still a big question for me in terms of possible results and if it is possible to maintain a reliable income when putting in the hours and deduct all the costs coming up...

Happy to see the green! :)

There's a lot of potential out there. I specifically setup this campaign so it was limited simply because that is what is going to work best for a smaller budget beginner course 👍

Okay, followed the guide and ran a couple of rounds of optimization. No profit but that was expected. The experience gained and skin in the game is where the value lies for me, however, the profit would have been great.

Mobipium smart links + ZeroPark traffic

Full breakdown:

Most successful optimization:

I thought I was going to be profitable in Ecuador and I was for a day until traffic slowed down to a halt. Not being sure why this was I upped my bid and made a few stupid decisions to try and buy more traffic and absolutely tanked my ROI.

Are smart links worth our time if we don't know the payout and ads being delivered?

I'm planning to pivot my time into Push ads with custom landers. I'm a bit underwhelmed with the offers available on mobipium.

Can anyone recommend a network that is best for Push ad offers?

Keep on fighting!
