Hi folks,

I decided to try Luke's Pops guide because I have all the requirements needed to get started.

**July 11**
Here's my result:

It's a good start. I got 33 conversions from targeting all countries which is very broad.

**July 12**
Here's my initial result after round 2 of optimizing the campaign:

I am almost breaking even, but I can see the potential of this campaign.

I edited my popads campaign and target only the countries that has conversions from my first $5 spent.

I have targeted the following countries:
IT
AR
BR
EG
MX
CO
EC
IR
AE

I haven't optimized it yet for WebsiteID and CategoryID.

My budget for the day is not yet spent. At the time of writing, I only spent $0.72.

I am excited to optimize it for round 3 with WebsiteID and CategoryID.

Here's my result after spending all of the 2nd $5.

I'm so happy. You should give it a try and follow @Luke's guide. I haven't optimized it yet for WebsiteID and CategoryID. What more if I narrowed it down?
I hope this will be a breakthrough for me..

**July 13**

I decided to spend another $10 to buy more conversion data.
Here's my result:

I decided to get WebsiteID conversion data from the following countries:
CO
IT
MX
AR

I created 4 campaigns in Popads. One country for each campaign. Then I took my WebsiteID conversion data from Bemob for CO, IT, MX and AR. This WebsiteID conversion data is from my campaign with 1st $5, 2nd $5, and 3rd $10 spent.

I named my campaigns in Popads like these:
Android_Chrome_IT_WebsiteID
Android_Chrome_CO_WebsiteID
Android_Chrome_MX_WebsiteID
Android_Chrome_AR_WebsiteID

This is my result in IT:

Results in CO:

Results in MX:

Results in AR:

I paused the 3 of them because it was not getting ROI. They didn't spend the whole $5.

Of course, I left AR running because I was getting positive ROI.

I will update this thread soon.

great @cyrus791, I will be following.
by the way, you should let Italy run, its promising, " but check website ids , there are a lot of large websites for Italy could eat your budget "I think you running popads from last chat yesterday "

and for CO, you didn't have enough traffic yet

for AR check your bidding, and website ids, if this ROI is steady, try to get the most of These winning IDs.

I paused IT because the targeting is already narrowed by websiteID's. Should I run again IT even if it's -52% ROI? And yes, I am running Popads yesterday.

For CO, I didn't get enough traffic so I paused it. Do you think I should let it run again?

For AR, I edited my campaign by bumping my budget from $5 to $20 per day. After changing it, I feel like the positive ROI is going away, the percentage is decreasing. Do you think I should not edit the campaign from Popads at any cost when it is winning?

This is my current results for AR:

Sometimes the payout is too low, like $0.01 and sometimes like yesterday it's $0.03. It's always changing. Average Payout(AP) is low today.

Payouts vary based on the "quality" of your traffic. If you want fixed payouts that don't change at random you could sign up for Evadav as a publisher. (y)

What should I do after signing up on Evadav as a publisher? I don't get what you mean. Can you elaborate further? I have an account with them. I think I can navigate to publisher's dashboard.

Here's a guide that was made for that:

As @Nick mentioned , this is a step by step guide for Evadav , if you run exactly as Luke's guide , but with evadav ," split Landers aganist Geos , " you will find winners

Start with high payout Geos , exclude USA for now untill knowing further about popads
Check desktop payout, vs mobile payout as most of Geos mobile payout vary alot from desktop

Can you please let me know some example of landers that I should use? Do I need a specific lander in a certain vertical?

They have already Landers , when creating a widgets you just choose your landing page

With popads streaming Landers working very well

The MOBIPIUM push SL seems pretty random sometimes, but it's worth testing because sometimes you find a traffic source/zone/geo combination that pays out well and can be quite profitable.

My advice is that everytime you try a new traffic source, run Evadav push subscriber offers first and then for the geos that don't work so well with Evadav see if they work with MOBIPIUM. This can help give you a few options that can work well.

I appreciate you taking the time to write and give some tips. I will keep that in mind.

Love the feedback on the course. Glad it's working for you and I'm happy you're seeing green! Optimizing for website/category isn't typically necessary right away as you want to collect as much data as possible. You've done a good job of letting your campaigns run and doing multiple rounds of testing so you can find the winners.

Everyone has already helped about the AP issue so I'll leave that alone, but I agree that testing EvaDav is a great idea and @sushiparlour's guide is fantastic for setting it up.

Let us know how it goes with mixing in EvaDav. You don't have to change anything with your campaign. Simple setup EvaDav in your BeMob account and then add a few offers using the Widgets/LPs from EvaDav the same way you added the MOBIPIUM offers originally ๐Ÿ‘

Here's my results for AR country yesterday July 14th.

I am almost breaking even. Average Payout(AP) is getting lower and lower day after day.

The targeting for this result is "AR Country" + "WebsiteID".

@Luke, when you say collecting data, I need to collect more website/category data from my working target countries, right?

@akahma by the way, I am currently running Evadav campaign as a test, I'm getting good amount of conversions. I will post it soon once it completely spends the budget for the day.

I figured out the Evadav landing pages you are talking about.

Here's a guide that was made for that:

@Nick my initial setup was successful. I am getting conversions on Evadav as a publisher. I will post my results soon.

Here's my results for Argentina:

I duplicated WW_Android_Chrome_Argentina_WebsiteID and created WW_Android_Chrome_Argentina_WebsiteID1. Please ignore the "WW", I just forgot to remove it when creating a campaign. The targeting is Argentina not World Wide(WW).

I am getting good conversion rate but I am not getting a good payout. Should I throw the towel on this campaign because of inconsistent payout?

Now here's my results after trying Evadav as a publisher:

I actually spent $26.47. It was indicated in Popads stats. However, the cost in my tracker is $22.78.

I got a decent conversion rate.

While running the campaign and spent around $5-$10 I think, I changed it to ID and MY countries. They have -20% to -30% ROI. I removed IN which has the most conversions in my first $5-10 spent but it has a horrible ROI, -90%.

Now, I am only buying data from ID and MY countries.

I created new campaign named Android_Chrome_ID_WebsiteID. It means that I am targeting Android, Chrome browser, Indonesia and WebsiteIDs I acquired during my initial testing.

I am hoping to get some green with Android_Chrome_ID_WebsiteID at the end of the day.

I will post more soon.

I'm loving this FA @cyrus791! Hang in there and keep working it and I'm sure you'll find a couple of nice profitable campaigns soon!

Should I throw the towel on this campaign because of inconsistent payout?
The hardest thing with MOBIPIUM is that in the beginning they have no data to determine your traffic quality, so you get a "starter" payout, which is almost always higher than the ongoing payout you'll get once they check your traffic quality. This skews your stats in the beginning and makes it hard to optimize because your payout drops by 80% after a couple of days. My strategy with MOBIPIUM has been to run an initial campaign and spend $10 just to get past the initial 'starter payout' and then, if the campaign showed any signs of promise I'd start over from scratch so my new campaign would have the 'updated payout'. Then I'd optimize aggressively - blocking anything that isn't profitable with 1xPO.

One of the keys to succeeding with these is going over everything in your data and blocking everything that doesn't perform - e.g. in Popads you can block regions, languages, devices, OS and browser versions and even screen resolution. I'm less aggressive with these, however. I only block anything with 0 conversions after 5xPO. Still, you'd be surprised how this can lift your success in some geos.

What do you mean by getting past the initial 'starter payout'? If I got it correctly, initial 'starter payout' is much higher compared to my latest payout?

if the campaign showed any signs of promise I'd start over from scratch so my new campaign would have the 'updated payout'.

So, you don't edit your popads campaign at any cost if you see green data? What do you mean by 'updated payout'?

The MOBIPIUM PNSL is set up to reward partners who send traffic that converts on their backend with higher payouts. Of course, in the beginning they don't have any traffic from you so don't know what your traffic is worth, so they give you a standard 'starter payout' like $0.05. After you've sent some traffic they can start looking at their backend and they'll give you an 'updated payout' of like $0.02 or something. From here on out you'll see a variable payout depending on how well your traffic performs, so it could go up or down.

So, you don't edit your popads campaign at any cost if you see green data?
No. I'm constantly tweaking all my campaigns - red or green - as more data comes along to improve my ROI.

No. I'm constantly tweaking all my campaigns - red or green - as more data comes along to improve my ROI.
Are you constantly tweaking existing campaigns by changing the targeting like adding WebsiteIDs, block regions, language and screen resolution? Or you are tweaking it by creating new campaign each time you see green data from your previous campaigns?

Usually always this:
changing the targeting like adding WebsiteIDs, block regions, language and screen resolution?
There are only three reasons I create new campaigns out of existing ones:
  • I switch from blacklist to whitelist (I like to keep these separate because I look at the data differently)
  • I've been running a campaign for 30 days straight (I'll duplicate it and start it again because I don't like using more than 30 days in my tracker)
  • I find a segment with high traffic and conversions, but low conversion rate so that it's not quite profitable (I'll separate it to a campaign with a lower bid so that my ROI can get profitable)
