Step 10 - Analyzing Your PopAds Campaigns using BeMob

MGID Contest
First step would be to simply run another $5 or so to the countries with conversions that are positive. That's what I would recommend anyway. I would include all the green + Peru.

You do not want to change too much at once. Basically 1 or 2 changes at a time. That way you know what is actually positively impacting your campaign.
Thanks a lot, Luke.

I have removed all countries except the greens (for the campaign, instead of individual offers) and Peru.
Yes, it makes sense not to make multiple changes in one go. Very important for newbies, as others already know it :)

MGID Contest
Another 2 days passed.
Now I have this (for the 3 days of run - 13th, 16th, 17th Oct).

Report on the basis of Offers

Offers & countries
All offers are in RED, sharing Offers - Countries report, to share how individual countries performed for each offer.

Campaign Reports on the basis of Countries

I have reports on the basis of WebsiteID -> Offers & Countries.
I don't see much of a pattern here. What should I look for, in this?

In total, what should I optimize this campaign for - Countries, Offers, or Website ID or something else, or a combination?

Guys, please do have a look and help me understand the concepts :)
Thanks in advance.

Typically, with this type of campaign, I would optimize in this order:
  1. Countries
  2. Offers
  3. WebsiteIDs
You narrowed it down to a few countries. One option to make things easier is to setup a campaign for each country. Then, you can optimize the offers that are working in each individual country in their own campaign. This also makes your bidding a bit more effective since the bid in the Netherlands may not the the same as Iran (just an example).

Finally, you'll want to remove WebsiteIDs that are not performing.

Thanks, Luke.
Here I come with more questions :)

1 have 2 countries Iran & the Netherlands in green. The rest all are in red.
Just want to understand what the stats tell me.

1. Iran.
Smart 3
: 55 conversions of 1238 clicks
Smart 4: 46 conversions of 1137 clicks)
These are clear green.
Other offers are in red. But have got good conversions as:
Smart 5 (32 conversions of 1133 clicks), Smart 2 (28 conversions of 1166 clicks), Smart 1 (24 conversions of 1139 clicks).

I am planning to create 1 offer specific for Iran, with these 2 green offers.
Or, shall I consider other offers too. If yes, why?

2. Netherlands
This has only 2 conversions out of 19 visits, with the following offers in green.
Smart 3: 1 conversion of 2 clicks
Smart 5: 1 conversion of 4 clicks
Do just these 2 conversions make the Netherlands country worth considering for running a dedicated offer?

3. Can I consider any other Red country?
Some less red countries are:
Mexico (150 conversions of 16,322 clicks. ROI -67.10%)
Ecuador (150 conversions of 16,322 clicks. ROI -67.10%)
Peru ( 108 conversions of 8154 clicks. ROI -55.14%)
Spain (37 conversions, 6545 clicks. ROI -45.45%)

In some red countries, there are green offers on particular WebsiteID.
i.e. Country: Red.
Offer: Red
but, Country-> Offer -> WebsiteID 1, 2, 3 are Green. Other Website IDs are Red.
Like Peru in this example in the image:

What do I do with these kinds of Countries/Offers/WebsiteIDs?

When I look at the WebsiteIDs with (hypothetical) stats, how do conversions like these compare?
ID1: 1000 Clicks - 8 conversions
ID2: 100 Clicks - 2 conversion
ID3: 10 Clicks - 1 conversion
ID4: 1 Click - 0 conversion
Which IDs would you keep and why?
What other stats should I see to finalize (e.g. ROI)?

Setup an individual campaign for Iran and split test the 2 offers that are performing best in that specific campaign.

2. Netherlands
This has only 2 conversions out of 19 visits, with the following offers in green.
Smart 3: 1 conversion of 2 clicks
Smart 5: 1 conversion of 4 clicks
Do just these 2 conversions make the Netherlands country worth considering for running a dedicated offer?
You mean dedicated campaign. The only reason I am correcting it is because you said it wrong multiple times. The offers are what you ran in the campaign.

I am confident that PopAds has much more traffic for Netherlands. You will likely need to increase your bid. But, it still might be worth a shot. You don't have significant data to tell you that, but it still might be worth testing out (and I probably would if it were my campaign).

Yeah, that will be the case nearly all the time. You will have green segments in your traffic. You just need to determine whether it's worth setting up a campaign to pursue. Considering you only spent $0.51 on that particular offer in Peru, you could always setup a campaign for Peru, spend more, and see if there's enough data to show that you can make $5-10/day profit from specific WebsiteIDs (or whatever your goal profit may be).

When I look at the WebsiteIDs with (hypothetical) stats, how do conversions like these compare?
ID1: 1000 Clicks - 8 conversions
ID2: 100 Clicks - 2 conversion
ID3: 10 Clicks - 1 conversion
ID4: 1 Click - 0 conversion
Which IDs would you keep and why?

Your goal is to find the profitable segments of your traffic and maintain a positive ROI as long as possible. How you determine what your cutoff is for that is up to you.

Thanks a lot, Luke for spending time & answering :)

It's damn easy for me to mix campaign & offer and then get confused when someone does the same.
Thanks for pointing it out, because this may confuse others too.

So, my plan is
a) I'll start with 1 campaign with 2 green offers for Iran
I'll remove all Red WebsiteIDs.

b) I'll explore running 1 campaign for the Netherlands.
Probably, all offers (smart 1 to 5) on all the WebsiteIDs.

c) I'll explore running for Peru.
Probably, all offers (smart 1 to 5) on all the WebsiteIDs.

What do you say about my plan?
Shall I continue with $5/day for each of these campaigns or you suggest some other daily budget?
Anything else, shall I consider?

That sounds good. PopAds will give you an estimate for the amount of traffic you're going to receive and your position in bidding. You may want to increase your bid a bit. But, overall, that sounds like a good idea and then you can optimize those 3 new campaigns independently 👍

Super easy to mix up. Lots of terms in affiliate marketing that are new. We actually have a big glossary you might want to check out 👍

Thanks Luke.
Here I go. Will share more updates :)

Guys!
The results are not very exciting, so focusing on optimization.

I have queries:
a) If I do not receive any impression, how do I know it's the bid (too low) or websites (white list or blacklist)?
b) I am still not very clear about the bid. What factors do I look for increasing or decreasing it while setting it and optimizing it?
Can you please help?

a) If I do not receive any impression, how do I know it's the bid (too low) or websites (white list or blacklist)?
If you are not receiving any impressions, then the bid is too low. That is the only reason you wouldn't receive any impressions. If the impressions are low, it could be you are not targeting many people. The Campaign Summary on PopAds will tell you.

b) I am still not very clear about the bid. What factors do I look for increasing or decreasing it while setting it and optimizing it?

So, you increase your bid to get more traffic. But, you need to set your bid at a rate that will make your campaign profitable. First, you need to know that rate.

If I start at $0.003 CPM and I see I am earning $0.008 RPM, then maybe I want to increase my bid to $0.005. I'll get more traffic and still be profitable.

Hi guys i've started the campaign and it showed conversions on mobipium dashboard but zero conversions in bemob , also they have updated the UI of the website things location has changed

The setup seems to be the same. Post a screenshot of the part you are seeing different so I can help 👍

Hi everyone. My campaign was approved at 2:13 am and the budget was depleted by 2:23 am. Time to do some analyzing!
