Ouch! Have you looked through your data to see if there were some specific widgets crushing your budget?

Same today (so far) unfortunately:

I am running CPC RON + vCPM RON. I think I'm paying too much for clicks in the vCPM.

Today new creatives were approved late, I'm testing all new images with the best headline. So I've just increased both budgets to $150 each, give the new ones a chance to spend.

New ones might get better CTR% and lower my vCPM cpc hopefully? :ROFLMAO:

I just re-checked and there's 1 widget taking most of the budget costing more than $1 cpc. Plus since I have no "winning" widgets yet, I'm not gonna pay that lol especially with it having just 1 conversion.

Today's budgets are spent (2 campaigns, vCPM + CPC):

My bids were too high on some vCPM widgets which turned out to spend $1+ cpc.
I have re-evaluated my rules in theoptimizer since I might of been too aggressive in cutting.

I am going to stick with vCPM for this campaign/offer, and keep it at $100/day.. However, if it gets 2 conversions it will increase to $150.

I am looking for some consistency, even 1 sale per day. It's easy to get carried away with testing and launching new stuff but I need to chill out otherwise this will turn into a bloodbath :)

From today, I will not be touching anything apart from checking how my new images(best headline) performs and how widgets are looking...

So far I have learned quite a bit already about this source!

If I get no sales tomorrow, or the next day. I will be launching a new campaign and repeating. The last chance for this campaign is to see if any new images bring in sales, other than that I think I have enough data to say it's not going to work (as well as others can).

Today's budget spent:

Looking good. Like I mentioned in my previous post, I am going to leave everything alone, unless something MUST be paused/blocked etc.

A mistake I recently made.. I thought a creative was a winner, when it may turn out not to be. Maybe I judged too fast on that one, then wondered why it all went south.

A new one had 5 ATC's today and 1 sale, whereas the "winner" (I thought it was) had 0 ATC's and it didn't even spend much..

I guess I will let this run.. I will update in a few days, or sooner if anything happens :)

Hitting profit? :D

Hitting profit? :D

Not yet! I thought I'd stick to my word and leave stuff alone.
I think I've figured out what I thought was winners (headline, images) are not. So I've been testing different variations per day. When today's spend ends later I'll look at the past few days and share here.

Update #2
Since my last main post, I've left it alone for the majority of the time. When pausing creatives adding new etc.
Yesterday looks good!

The previous days were like this:

But the most important part for me is that I'm learning to be a lot more patient than usual. Plus I'm slowly getting the hang of it.
I've had a few thoughts on pausing this campaign. But I'd rather have a challenge than stumble on a winner and not fully understand what makes it a winner.

It's way more rewarding learning HOW to make a campaign profitable in my opinion :)

Since it hit 2 conversions yesterday the budget was increased to $150. Otherwise I'd of had $100 spend and $240 revenue.
Loving this so far!

Looking good. Such a big improvement from your previous days πŸ™‚ Can't wait to see more stats like these in the coming days.

Yesterday was great, and PROFIT again! :D

Once again, it had spent less and had $320 revenue, I think it was $68 spent $320 revenue at one point.

The good thing now is that I'm finding some widgets that convert more than once, finally!
Overall this campaign looks like this:

It's definitely looking and feeling better, so I think it will be break even soon, and then overall profit which is great considering I've learned a whole lot about this source!
Most of that spend/loss was making mistakes and learning from them.

With Native in general since starting and learning from scratch, this is how it looks:

Not bad considering that's starting fresh!

This campaign will be green soon, then hopefully the next stop is to the moon! πŸš€

Yey!
Now I hope you will dominate those widgets! :)

Love your increased confidence here. Good job!

Question:
Do you also look at or cut out categories or so? E.g. celebrities, news, weather, etc.

Update #3
Over the weekend I had realised it was spending slow because of bid increases so I increased mine. I've also had a little learning curve since sometimes Revcontent doesn't prioritise the creative(s) I want it to.. Saturday it prioritised one I was testing against the best 3 and unfortuntately it spent the most on the one being tested. So late in the evening after giving it a good run I paused it, leaving my best 3 creatives. That resulted in a sale once it started spending on the better ones again.

Saturday:

So then Sunday, I left just those 3 creatives running...

I had 3 ATC's but no sales.

Why do I think this happened?
Small spend and higher bids.. More fluctuations since the spend is so small?

Next steps:
I'm looking forward to this week, where right now I will leave those 3 creatives running and see what happens. I'm not overthinking anything else at this stage, let the data do the talking! πŸš€

Looking better! 7 days:

Still battling here and there to try and understand the creatives side of things. Overall very happy with my progress, on the edge of green now! πŸš€
Stats like this feels amazing to see, whilst also learning the platform and figuring things out!
Looking forward to posting green in the very near future hopefully!

Update #4 - PROFITS!

Here's the last 3 days:

It's took some time and patience, but I'm finally seeing profit!

Exciting!

What mistakes have I made so far in this campaign?
- Thinking creative(s) were winners, when they were not.
- Increasing bids to get more traffic on "not so good" widgets.
- Not always checking, some days being afk until the evening then realising some widgets were $1+ cpc.

Now let's see how much profit can be made back! It's getting closer and closer to overall breakeven, and then will be profitable overall and take it as far/high as I can.

Any questions? I'd be happy to answer. I'm curious to see what my next screenshots will be like in the next few days :D πŸš€

The upside is huge on Native, as we all know... looking for huge profits from this hopefully!

Congratulations! It can only go upwards from now on.

How many widgets have you collected in your black list?

Congrats on profit in the last 3 days. One thing I don't think you mentioned is if you were running Desktop or Mobile? Would love to know.

Thanks! Yeah, looking forward to seeing it's progress for sure :)
With the CPC I was growing it nicely, with vCPM the widgets are way less and I tend not to block any.

Thanks! Ah, I didn't realise! This is desktop, which I know has a ceiling, but will be nice to get this to nice profit and start on the next campaign πŸš€

All good man, was just wondering. I'm about to start on RC as well with a MaxWeb offer. I've run on Native for some years, just not these kinds of offers. Wishing you continued profits.
