If you want to be kept up to date with industry news and marketing information that can have a tremendous impact on your affiliate marketing business, you’d have to set aside at least an hour of your work hours per day. That is, if you already have a system for filtering through the hundreds of news about industry trends. If you don’t, it can take you so much longer.

As an affiliate marketer, you must be up to date with the latest digital news and trends. After all, something that happened today might affect your marketing techniques and even your campaigns. If you don’t know about the latest, you might end up losing hundreds or even thousands of dollars! Or what if the newest technology released can drive you more sales and leads? You wouldn’t want to miss an opportunity such as this, would you?

But with hundreds of digital trends and marketing news churning up every single day, how would you know which ones would benefit you and which ones are garbage? How would you be able to filter through the noise?

Simple. Subscribe to Stacked Marketer.

STACKED MARKETER

Who is Stacked Marketer?

Originally called What The Aff, Stacked Marketer is your daily dose of updates regarding the digital marketing world. People behind it scroll through the latest news, round them up, and provide a summarized and more entertaining version. Not only do they provide news updates, but they also give out actionable advice that you can easily and quickly implement on your marketing strategies. As a bonus, you’ll be entertained with memes, brainteasers, and other cool extras!

The newsletter, which was first sent out to email subscribers in 2018, is very easy to digest. Stacked Marketer compresses to five minutes worth of reading what could’ve taken one person a couple of hours just to be updated on the latest. They are consistent in sending out their newsletter at one in the afternoon, Central European Time, from Mondays to Fridays.

Stacked Marketer was founded by Manu Cinca, a super affiliate who used to work for STM Forum as a moderator and is currently an active contributor here in affLift. He describes himself as a problem-solver. Having found that searching for and digesting relevant information is a daily bottleneck for many marketers, he decided to create something to solve this problem. That is how the Stacked Marketer newsletter was born.

Why Did They Change The Name?

Affiliates who saw the name “What The Aff” already knew that they are the target market for the newsletter; after all, what else could the “aff” refer to but the word affiliate? Plus, the name is a play on WTF, which is the general tone of the newsletter: informative but doesn’t take itself too seriously.

However, as the business progressed, they noticed a couple of serious flaws with this funny name. The first is that if you’re not an affiliate marketer, the name will give the impression that the newsletter was just trying to be imprudent. Although many have subscribed despite the name, who knows how many else were turned off?

The organization found that they attract not just people from the affiliate marketing industry but the digital advertising industry as a whole. And with the upgrade in the target market comes an upgrade in branding as well.

The second is that it can be painfully hard to mention the name verbally (without feeling awkward about it), so people mispronounce and misspell it every so often. Brand marketers know how difficult it can be to establish branding, so having people confuse the spelling or pronunciation of your brand name can be a nightmare. You think you’re finally getting that brand recall only to be brought back to square one.

Even with the name change, Stacked Marketer is still everything that What The Aff set out to be, maybe even more. It is a newsletter that helps you in all aspects of digital marketing by stacking you up with all marketing content you can possibly need, hence the new name.

Who is Stacked Marketer for?

While the company initially set out to be a resource for affiliates, it has expanded to just about anyone who is into media buying. Whether you are an affiliate, a business owner, a corporate marketing manager, an agency, or simply a person interested in digital marketing, then this newsletter is for you.

So if you buy traffic from search engines, social media, DSP, and other traffic providers, Stacked Marketer is also for you. If you are into content marketing, email marketing, or e-commerce, this newsletter can be beneficial to you, too.

The preciseness of the newsletter makes it seem like it’s targeted for pro affiliates, especially with jargon that they won’t bother to explain to newbies. But even if you’re new to this industry, you can benefit from this newsletter by simply clicking on the link that leads to the original article. This way, you can get more in-depth information on the topic.

What Does the Newsletter Contain?

You’ll find almost anything related to internet marketing within the newsletter. The main content is divided into five sections. The first four sections discuss a featured marketing topic, the hottest news on a couple of platforms, and a sponsored segment.

Basically, they feature the hottest news on any of the marketing topics below:
  • Affiliate marketing
  • Content marketing
  • SEO
  • e-Commerce
  • GDPR
  • Marketing Tools and New Technologies
  • Push, Pop, Search, Native, Social Media, Email, or virtually any type of paid online advertising.
The platforms that are often mentioned in the content of the email are the following:
  • Bing ads
  • Google
  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • Reddit
  • Pinterest
  • SnapChat
  • Twitter
  • Quora
  • LinkedIn
  • Pinterest
The fifth section is called “Rounding Up the Stack,” which are one-sentence summaries of interesting topics of the day (but not as interesting as the ones discussed in the previous sections). They include a link to the news in case you want to read more.

All topics are in bite-sized content that you can finish the whole newsletter before your coffee machine finishes brewing you a cup. And they cap it off with a brain teaser and a section called Poolside Chat which talks about anything cool or funny to lighten up the mood.

How Much Does Stacked Marketer Cost?

This can be the make-or-break reason why some people back out of subscriptions. But you actually don’t have to worry about this at all because Stacked Marketer is completely free!

So how does the company earn, you ask? Through sponsorships, of course!

There are currently more than 16 thousand active marketers who are subscribed to Stacked Marketer. This newsletter has become the go-to quick resource for most affiliates, which is why it receives a staggering 46.6% average open rate, which is almost three times the industry average.

If your target market comprises digital marketers, then promoting at Stacked Marketer is a great way to get eyes on your product or service.

Since 2019, the company has been very open about how much they earn annually in order to show full transparency, a practice that is pretty rare but highly needed in this industry. Here’s a thread on Stacked Marketers’ revenue in 2020 (hint: it’s pretty impressive!).

So that’s why you get all the marketing information you need with a short, well-written newsletter at no cost.
