As an affiliate, you are no doubt always on the lookout for new ways to make money. After all, your next ten thousand dollar profit might just be right around the corner! If you already have online properties that generate traffic or know of a cheap way to send traffic to a landing page, then you should look into collecting push notification subscriptions.

To profit from subscriptions, you should first sign up with a service that offers to buy these — like ProPush.

Who is ProPush?

ProPush is a push subscription service that allows you to earn from your traffic based on the number of subscriptions you acquire or based on a shared revenue (or both).

While ProPush is pretty new in the game, and other networks provide what they do, ProPush is a more attentive service.

It is a specialized network whose sole focus is to gain push subscribers and help you earn in the process. The more subscribers you have and the better the quality of the sign-ups, the more you make money from your traffic!

But is ProPush really as good as they say?

In the short time since it was launched, it has become a go-to network for many publishers looking to earn extra from their web traffic. We've seen better rates with ProPush than other platforms, based on our own experience and from the feedback of several super affiliates.

How to Get Started with ProPush

Signing up is pretty easy — all you have to do is complete the registration form and wait for your account to be activated. If you're new in the affiliate marketing business and have little to no experience, someone might contact you to confirm your online property (such as a website) and how you drive traffic to these pages or sites.

It helps if you mention that you are a member of affLIFT (if not, sign up today) and that you've been learning the ropes on affiliate marketing. But be as honest as you can be; do not misrepresent your skills.

If you've worked with at least one affiliate network, getting accepted is easier. You may even be accepted immediately. Once your account is approved, you can start sending traffic to your landing pages or websites in minutes!

Adding a Source

Now there are two types of online properties that you can use with ProPush, and these are websites and landing pages.

The former are full-pledged sites that receive organic and paid traffic. The latter are single web pages whose main goal is to encourage conversions for the offers presented on the page and whose traffic usually comes from paid sources.

If you'll be using a landing page, make sure you follow the rules and requirements of landing pages. Just like Propeller Ads, ProPush's editorial team is pretty strict with what they accept.

After adding the URL of your website or landing page, you'll be asked to verify the domain by uploading a file to the root of your site or by placing a tag in the webpage's header.

Once this is done, your source will undergo automatic moderation, which usually takes anywhere from a few seconds to a couple of hours.

All accounts have a limit of 3 sites initially. If you need more, you will have to contact the support team and ask for more slots. It's not guaranteed, though, as they will still check your account and see if your traffic's worthy enough to get new ones.

Getting the Code

To start collecting push subscribers on your page, you need to add ProPush's unique code for your site.

Choose the Source in the list of Sites, and then click on the "Create Smart Tag" button. You'll be asked to choose between Revenue Share and CPS, although the default option is RevShare. The CPS option can be opened up for you once you've proven that you can maintain subscriber quality and volume.

On the next page, download the JS file and upload it to the root of your site. Upon verification, you can get your tag code and place it in your page or website's code.

If you are using a third-party tracker, make sure you enable Postback to add the Postback URL to the code.

If you want to earn more from your traffic, set up and enable TrafficBack so that users will be redirected to Propeller Ads offers once they click on either Allow or Block. With Trafficback settings enabled, you have the potential to earn more from your traffic, whether your viewers become push ads subscribers or not.

However, if you are using the page as a pre-lander for an offer and you're just adding push subscriptions as an extra way to earn from the same traffic, avoid using TrafficBack. It will redirect your traffic to a different page, altogether driving potential leads away from your main offer.

The TrafficBack feature is one of the things that made ProPush stand out from the crowd. With other platforms, if you want to earn from back or forward traffic, you'd have to manually configure the settings yourself. Here, you already have this option in just a few clicks. But again, only use it if the purpose of your landing page is simply to attract subscriptions.

Monitoring Your Earnings

If you've set things up properly, you'll start seeing your click and subscription stats in the Statistics tab. ProPush updates your stats in real-time, which is a huge plus.

Aside from the date filter, you can also filter your traffic based on the following:
  • Country
  • Ad Format
  • Sites
  • Zones (if you have multiple zones per site)
  • OS type
  • Source ID
You can monitor the total traffic (pre-requests), the number of subscribers, total profit, conversion rate, and the CPM based on the filter you selected.

Once you've reached $100 in profit, you can withdraw your earnings via Payoneer, Paypal, Skrill, Webmoney, and wire transfer.

While the payout threshold is pretty average in this industry, it is a bit high when it comes to push subscription platforms. Similar networks release payments anywhere from $10 to $50. Even Propeller Ads' own publisher network releases payment for just $20.

Nevertheless, if you work with other networks, you will also notice the difference in revenue and conversion rate; ProPush is so much better. As such, reaching the threshold is not that hard.

Wrapping Up

ProPush makes it easy to monetize your traffic with push notification subscriptions, topped up with its Trafficback, which greatly increases your revenue potential.

It's also very easy to set up and provides comprehensive statistics on what's working for your different online properties. So if you're looking for a reliable and easy-to-use push notification service, be sure to check out!
