In my last case study, Iโ€™ve tested how frequency capping can affect your conversion rate. @Tamas asked me if I could test the same zone and increase the CPM to see if I will get higher quality traffic.

So.. Iโ€™ve decided to test this!

Like I did in my last test, I will only use 1 zone in 1 geo with CPM bidding. This time I will use the same frequency capping for all campaigns. It will be set to 3/24.

Increasing the bid will give me more traffic for sure, but what about conversion rate and my CPA? Letโ€™s see!

Here is the plan:
  • DAY 1 - CPM bid $0.4
  • DAY 2 - CPM bid $0.6 (+50% compared to DAY 1)
  • DAY 3 - CPM bid $0.8 (+100% compared to DAY 1)
  • DAY 4 - CPM bid $1.0 (+150% compared to DAY 1)
  • DAY 5 - CPM bid $1.2 (+200% compared to DAY 1)
