What landing page format do you use to test an ecom product?

I am trying to determine the best practice for testing a new e-commerce idea.

Is it generally better to use an advertorial (like from Purelander) format when testing a new product?

Or is it better to make a standard landing page like what most shopify storefronts look like?

Based on experience, what is the best landing page set up in ecomm for FB
