For now, it only applies to Apple's email, message, and Safari (incognito), but I wonder what would happen if they apply it later to all Safari users. Apple wants to detect and automatically remove tracking parameters on URLs, including UTMs and click IDs.

In tier 3 geos, this shouldn't be an issue, but many tier 1 countries have a ton of iOS traffic, and newsletters have been suffering from unreliable tracking from Apple's Email app users. If they remove UTMs and click IDs, measuring email traffic could be a nightmare.

Not to mention iOS 14 decimated many FB accounts relying on pixel data (CAPI is decent but still limited).
