Hi all, I’m Daniel. I’ve been practicing what I like to call affiliwait marketing since 2007. (Yes, that’s marketing with a lot of waiting!)
Here’s my story:
• 2007–2017: Worked in advertising—tons of fun projects. Kept an eye on affiliate marketing but figured, “It’s not the right time.” Kiyosaki’s “rat race” had me running in circles.
• 2018: Time to escape the trap! Affiliate marketing, right? Wait, no. Found Amazon. Built a supplement brand. Success. But affiliate marketing stayed on hold.
• 2019–2021: Expanded to new marketplaces. Optimized listings, managed suppliers, shipped products—chaos, but also rewarding. Then came the harsh market conditions. The Amazon bubble popped, and I thought: “Finally, affiliate marketing?” Wait, no. Tried Amazon Wholesale instead. ROI barely broke even.
• 2022: Okay, maybe affiliate marketing this time? Wait again. Realized I’m good at WordPress, coding, and SEO, so I opened an Upwork account. Made some cash freelancing with Shopify, automations, and custom integrations. But…freelancing pays pennies. Back to the drawing board.
• 2023: Affiliate marketing still on my mind. Took Ivan Mana’s courses, studied hard. But bills don’t pay themselves. Got a SaaS growth marketing contract, which I’m still working on (and enjoying).
