Hey everyone,
I’ve been running Facebook Ads for a while, and something strange started happening over the last month — wondering if anyone else has noticed this.
Whenever I launch a new campaign (approved normally, no account issues), if I set a daily spend of $10, it immediately spends $12–$21 within the first 2–3 minutes after launch. Then, from day 3 onward, everything goes back to normal, and it starts spending smoothly again.
I’ve tested all the obvious setups:
Lifetime vs daily budget
Campaign budget vs ad set budget
Standard delivery
Scheduled vs always-on ads
Different audiences and placements
Same result every time — first day, instant overspend.
The campaign objective I’m using is Website Contacts, not Website Leads — could that objective behave differently in the delivery system?
Has anyone found a way to stop this early-day overspend? Or maybe someone working closer to Meta (like @Amixo , @Desha or others here) could shed some light on what’s happening lately?
Thanks in advance — I’m sure I’m not the only one seeing this
