2019 is just a few days away. What are your goals for 2019 when it comes to affiliate marketing? We all want to be ROI positive, but what's a realistic goal you can set for yourself? What are you going to do to achieve that goal?

I find it's best to outline daily, weekly, and monthly goals, but to also give actionable tasks you can do to achieve those goals. As an example, here is my 2019 goal and tasks I can do to achieve them.

affLIFT 2019 Goal
25,000 registered users

Daily
- Share what I know/experience
- Be as helpful as possible
- Answer all messages/emails

Weekly
- Create/move public content to drive new organic membership (2nd biggest source of paid membership this year)
- Create/optimize ads (primarily FB/Google)
- Send out 2-3 mass messages
- Create 1 video lesson/guide
- Work with Partners to drive more business
- Add 1 new Article (coming 2019)
- Schedule 3-5 pieces of social media content (FB/Twitter)
- Pay members for Referral Program earnings

Monthly
- Run a contest
- Add 2 new Partners (traffic sources/tools)
- Send 1 mass email (LPF/affLIFT)
- Find 2 new backlink opportunities
- Update homepage to improve CR/SEO
- Find and install great add-ons for improved experience (example: Link Directory)

Quarterly
- Promotion/membership discount (may skip this in Q1 unless I do a $19/month membership discount the first week of 2019).

25,000 registered users is a lofty goal. But, I have a clear path to it. I'm sure things will change over the course of the year, but I have actionable tasks that I can hold myself accountable with (and hopefully hold an employee or two I hire for the community accountable with too). I have no doubt we'll hit 25,000 users if I do these things :)

✅ I'll be using Todoist to keep track of my objectives (goals) and tasks to complete them. I recommend you give it a try (it's free).

📚 If you're looking for a good book to read about goal setting, I recommend the book Measure What Matters: https://www.amazon.com/Measure-What-Matters-Google-Foundation/dp/0525536221

2019 is going to be amazing! Onward and upward 🚀

Skrayp has had around 4,000 people sign up since 2014. It's not a priority or focus of mine, but it's a solid tool for PPV marketing. It works well for traffic sources like RTXPlatform.

I launched Skrayp shortly after the success of FPTraffic. It's pretty difficult to maintain multiple SaaS properties, but I've learned a lot with each new one I launched. With Skrayp, I learned that if you go super niche (like a tool specifically for a particular type of PPV marketing), you really limit your exposure. I haven't been super aggressive in marketing Skrayp, but it's easy to see from the lower user count what I am saying :)

I also tried something new and cool with Skrayp. I created a free PPV scraper product that is basically a selling point for Skrayp. You can find it here:

I've made over $2,500 from people who have signed up for Skrayp from the free PPV scraper with essentially no advertising cost.

I'm a friend and student of Darren Hardy. Darren teaches that every actionable task should be on your calendar and NOT on a to do list. The tasks that cannot be scheduled on your calendar should be deleted. I have used Todoist since 2015 and all my task are scheduled on my calendar under a project with a date and time. I pay for the Premium Todoist so my tasks are automatically synced with my google calendar.

Very cool. I'll have to look up Darren :) What are some of your upcoming tasks for 2019?

After reading this it has really made me think. In my mind I have a few ideas for goals but no clear path on which ones to start first. Also do not have a path on what it will take to accomplish.

Hope to have this sorted out soon and will share.

goals for 2019
Get 100+ clicks on my campaign offer in mobile.
Get search campaign up to 200$ a day.
Achieve in first quarter.
Streamline split testing.
Increase network effect on affLIFT,
Cheers to everyone. To a AWESOME 2019!

I do have goals for every year, but I'm one of those who like's to keep his goals private.

Nothing personal, just pure psychology :)

Described by Derek Sivers in this 3 minutes long video:

My main goal is to wake up everyday at 4:00am.

I know you guys think that’s crazy, that’s exactly right, I want to be an anomaly and I believe that’s going to propel all the other goals.

I made this thread Public so everyone can help keep us accountable :D

Ok, I've had to think hard on some of these.. here are some of my goals.. I have some of my plan ironed out, I still need to work on it more though. I still have some gaps to fill in, but here's what I am so far.

affLIFT - I want to help contribute more to the community, I want to help increase the number of members. I see Luke's goal to reach 25,000 registered users. My goal is to have 1250 come from me. The number is not a random one, I want AT LEAST 5% of the users to have come from me.

Daily
  • Network on forums and social media platforms to help drive traffic to affChris and in return affLIFT.
  • Contribute/post to the affLIFT forums and chat
Weekly
  • Write new articles and schedule email blasts
  • Build backlinks to help optimize for affLIFT related keywords
  • Create videos
Adhoc
  • Find at least 2 other ways to help drive traffic
  • Schedule Facebook retargeting campaigns

Affiliate Marketing - I want to diversify more. I want to learn 2 new traffic sources (push being one of them, the other TBD)

Daily
  • Read affLIFT and other resources to learn about 2 new traffic sources
Weekly
  • Launch campaigns on new traffic sources to learn (I have this listed as weekly, but should be a few times a week at the beginning)
  • Review and optimize campaigns
Adhoc
  • Review results and share learnings
  • Share experiences

Authoritative Sites/Long Term - Affiliate marketing is great, lots to learn and money to be made, but at this stage, I want to grow more and get more long term assets to go along with it. I want to grow my current assets and also launch new ones.

My Current goals will be to grow 2 of my current assets by 2x the current earnings.

Daily
  • Watch for new content and "viral" trends of these topics and jump on them if they come up

Weekly
  • Write and schedule posts
  • Schedule email blasts

Adhoc
  • Launch at least 2 new adhoc long term sites

The number is not a random one, I want AT LEAST 5% of the users to have come from me.
I really appreciate your dedication the community, Chris. That's awesome! :)

You're definitely off to a great start. For the past 7 days, affChris is responsible for 6.35% of the referral traffic on affLIFT. Your referrals are spending over 2x the average amount of time on the site with less than 50% of the normal bounce rate.

Looking forward to sending you giant weekly PayPal's for your referrals 🚀

ToDoist is cool, but if you like that style, then take a look a Wunderlist. I have them both and really like Wunderlist. Integrates with everything and has a much better interface than ToDoist.
:)

Gain AT LEAST 20 lbs of muscle and dominate push traffic :D
Now I'm picturing a super jacked Charlie Brown character.

...and it turns out I'm not the only one lol

Lol. I don’t know if I should laugh or be scared.

How often does Everyone review/reevaluate their goals?

For me - Obvious there are smaller checkpoints weekly, biweekly, etc but I typically try to look at them monthly and quarterly. Often they need to be tweaked and changed.
