Hey Afflift community,
Today we’ll talk about the two craziest sales of the day - Black Friday and Cyber Monday
To get started, keep in mind that Black Friday Sale starts on Friday after Thanksgiving in the United States (November 29), followed by Cyber Monday on Monday. They both open the Christmas sales season. Traditionally, Black Friday was associated with the peak of retail sales in ordinary stores, then “cyber Monday” was for the online retail segment. However, today online retailers are no longer waiting until Cyber Monday and provide consumers with the best deals starting from Black Friday.
According to eMarketer, Cyber Monday spending reached $7.87 billion in 2018. Meanwhile, Black Friday brought about $6.2 billion in online sales and 23.6% of growth over the last year. In addition, according to Finder, men forecasted to spend nearly double that of women.
As for what customers want, the top products they were looking for last year on Black Friday included: clothing, tech, toys, smart-home gadgets, gift cards, and travel.
