Guide 🆓 Free Tools You Can Use for Affiliate Marketing

When starting out in affiliate marketing, many people aren't ready to spend much money—especially on tools that are often essential.

So this month, I’ve decided to compile a list of free tools (and a few that offer generous free trials) to help you get started.

Tracking Tools​

Every affiliate marketer needs a tracking tool to monitor the performance of their campaigns. While you might get away with direct linking occasionally, by the end of the day, you'll likely find yourself looking for a tracker.

An affiliate tracker logs and reports detailed data on clicks, conversions, and traffic sources—helping marketers analyze performance. It doesn't optimize campaigns automatically, but it provides the insights needed to make smart, manual adjustments.

As of writing this post, here are three trackers that offer free plans:

• BeMob -– Free plan includes 100,000 monthly events and 1 month of data retention
• Skro – Free plan includes 250,000 monthly events and 3 months of data retention
• MaxConv – Free plan includes 150,000 monthly events and 3 months of data retention

These trackers are well known in the community. You can open an account in just a few minutes and start using them.

Hosting​

Soon enough, you’ll want to start using landing pages in your affiliate marketing campaigns. When that time comes, you’ll need a place to host them.

Here are a few free hosting options:

• InfinityFree - 5 GB of disk space and unlimited bandwidth
• 000webhost - Was free before; looks like Hostinger acquired them
• GitHub Pages - Might be too technical for some users

These options come with some limitations, especially in terms of support.

Alternatively, you can host your landing pages on Cloudflare Pages, which offers unlimited storage and excellent speed!

Domains​

While domains are quite affordable these days - you can get them for under a dollar on Namecheap:



There’s also a platform where you can grab completely free domains:

• Freenom - Offers domains like .tk, .ml, .ga, .cf, .gq for free

Landing Pages​

If you want to build your own landing pages from scratch, try these free services:

• Carrd – Build up to three sites per account using all core features
• Tilda – Includes 1 free website
• Google Sites – Simple and good for basic landing pages, but lacks advanced features like PHP or database support

Once you start building landing pages, you might notice some are a bit slow.



Fortunately, there are free tools to help identify and fix performance issues:

• GTmetrix – Tests and monitors your page's performance
• PageSpeed Insights - A Google tool that analyzes web performance on both mobile and desktop
• Hotjar – Free plan includes unlimited heatmaps, user session recordings, and behavior tracking

Email Tools​

If you're building an email list, there are several free options:

• MailerLite – Free plan includes up to 1,000 subscribers and 12,000 monthly emails
• Brevo – Free plan allows up to 300 emails/day
• Benchmark Email – Free plan allows up to 500 subscribers and 3,500 emails per month

• Mail Tester – Free spam score checker

Spy Tools​

Most spy tools offer a free trial (even if it's just for a day or two). A few also have free versions:

• Facebook Ads Library – 100% free and official
• SpyPush - Starts at $49, but a free version is also available

Free Stock Images/Videos​

Creating a visually appealing landing page requires quality graphics and creatives.



Here are the most popular sites for free assets:

• Pexels - Free stock photos and videos
• Unsplash - Over 7 million high-resolution images
• Pixabay - More than 5.6 million free images

Once you start working with creatives, you'll need tools to edit them.



Whether it’s resizing or removing a background, these tools can help:

• Canva – Free drag-and-drop creative editor.
• Photopea – Free online Photoshop alternative.

If you own a website and want to analyze traffic, the two most popular free tools are:

• Google Analytics – Free web tracking.
• Microsoft Clarity – Free heatmaps and session recording.

Privacy & Compliance Tools​

After uploading your landing page, you’ll need to ensure it's compliant with privacy laws. Instead of reading through all the legal requirements yourself, try these ready-made solutions:

• Cookiebot – Easy-to-integrate, plug-and-play cookie consent manager
• Termly – Free plan includes 1 basic legal policy

Ad Networks & Traffic Sources​

Free ad networks? Where can you get traffic for free?



These usually don’t exist—but sometimes, you’ll find promotions like:
