You have a killer offer converting like mad. You optimize the hell out of it and it's still going crazy. Oh no! Your balance is running low! You think this will continue so you triple your normal deposit. Then BAM!!! Conversions start to drop, you think ok just a bad day. BAM! next day conversions drop by another 50% now your losing money. Then BAM!! the affiliate network says "Oh your quality is bad we need you to stop!" So What happened between you are killing it, to you need to stop?
1. Did they start skimming your conversions?
2. Did they recognize where you are getting your sales?
3. Is the traffic source repeating clicks?
4. Did the traffic source find your offer and start running it?
Seems traffic networks and affiliate networks are working closely together now and they push out the middle man (which is us) we do all the work, spend all the testing money and they reap the rewards.
No wonder media buying affiliates are falling out.
