Hello AffLifters,
I’d like to get your opinion on a business idea I’m considering. I’m currently in Iceland and noticed there’s a complete absence of metallic fences here.
Why did this stand out to me?
I’m originally from Lithuania, and about 5-6 years ago, metallic fences were also almost not existing. But once they started gaining popularity, they became the standard—everyone wanted them. I have two friends in Lithuania who work in this field and have built successful businesses around it.
I know how to make and install these fences, so if there would be demand, I could potentially be the first to introduce them to the Icelandic market.
However, starting this business here would require a substantial initial investment: buying a metal sheet bending machine, shipping it to Iceland, renting production space, and sourcing materials in various colors.
It feels risky to commit that kind of money without first testing the market.
So at this point I would love to hear your ideas how would be the best way to do that. I have some ideas on my own but I am not sure about them.
