Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking about something lately and wanted to hear your opinions. When it comes to optimizing campaigns, do you rely more on your traffic source or your tracker? The traffic source provides accurate data on ad spend, while the affiliate network gives the most accurate data on earnings.
This question came up after I started using the Free Optimizer Tool - Booster Script (PropellerAds + BeMob) from @dood. I understand that trackers often have discrepancies compared to traffic sources due to click loss, but I was surprised to see discrepancies of up to 25% or more in my main campaign. When I dug deeper into individual zones, the data became even messier. There can be discrepancies up to 50%?
So, how do you handle this? Do you trust your traffic source more for optimization, or do you rely on your tracker despite the discrepancies? Would love to hear your experiences!
Also, do you manually update the cost in your tracker, or do you leave it as it is? Knowing that the tracker’s cost accounts for traffic loss, I wonder if updating it to match the traffic source could end up
