Apparently Anthropic have a new model but the interesting part is that it seems to have come out via a leak rather than a proper launch.
If the reports are accurate, Claude Mythos is a serious step up in capability, especially around technical and cyber-related tasks. And they genuinely seem cautious on releasing it due to the impact it could have on cyber security.
In the leaks they state it scores dramatically higher than Claude Opus 4.6 on software coding, academic reasoning, and cybersecurity tests which is both good and bad at the same time!

My instant take on this was better make sure all my computers are up to date
