The writer got confused. Where are the 6 figures a month? I see 4 figures per month in that dashboard. And without working? I'm sure the publisher getting 10,000 clicks per month is working hard to get those numbers (easily 100,000 visits or more to achieve those clicks).

For paid ads, you can always use UTMs and track traffic from there. As for organic, Analytics also allows you to track their traffic by filtering the "referral path".
