A few months ago, @SunTime asked how to pass your source id to your affiliate network:

I donโ€™t think we have a guide covering this subject, so Iโ€™ve decided to write one ๐Ÿ™‚

In this guide, Iโ€™ll show how you can do this with 3 different trackers (which have free plans, btw) and for 2 affiliate networks.

๐Ÿ˜• Why do affiliate networks want your SOURCE_ID?

First, letโ€™s see why your affiliate network might ask you to send your SOURCE ID to them.

For example, you might be promoting only 1 offer with them but using 3 different traffic sources (or 1 traffic source but different ad formats). Each traffic source can perform differently - some might have great traffic, some might have decent traffic while some might have like 90% bot traffic. And you only want to send quality traffic to that offer otherwise you might end up not getting paid.

Maybe you are promoting one CPI (cost per install) offer where you are paid per install but the network and offer owner would like to see maybe some in-app purchases or at least a low uninstall rate.
