Today we’re sharing a case that might be useful if you’re testing Telegram Ads traffic—or thinking about it.

One of our partners ran a campaign for a Telegram-based iGaming mini app and hit a 9.86% CTR with no optimization or postback. Here’s the breakdown:

Overview

This campaign focused on a Telegram mini app in the iGaming vertical that:
  • Aggregates welcome bonuses and deposit offers from different iGaming platforms
  • Lets users explore and compare these offers in-app
  • Sends users directly to register and claim offers without leaving Telegram
  • Includes mini-games and supports token deposits inside the bot
The whole experience happened inside Telegram, which made the flow super smooth. No redirects, no external landing pages.

Flow

The funnel was basic but effective:

Registration → First-time deposit → Retention (recurring app usage, repetitive deposits)

So, we see a simple, easy bot-based flow with a natural setup and convenient user interface.

Campaign setup

  • GEO: Kazakhstan
  • Platform: Android & iOS
  • Model: CPC
  • Dates: December 1–31, 2024
Our partner didn’t use any advanced features here. No postback, no smart bidding, no audience targeting. Just straightforward campaign settings and relevant traffic.

Campaign Performance

  • CTR: 9.86%
  • CPC: $0.06
  • CPM: $5.92
  • Revenue: $7,883.64
Even without optimization, the campaign converted well. Most of the users registered and deposited right after the first visit. Telegram Ads were a good fit for this type of offer.

Creatives

The ad creatives were static images with bold visuals—think bright colors, catchy characters, fancy brand icons, and gaming-style elements. Emojis in ad text were used to match Telegram’s messaging vibe.

  • Yes, this is what you get in Schwartz Games.
The key was keeping it native to the platform. If it feels like a Telegram message, people interact with it.

Key takeaways

  • Telegram mini apps are ideal for smooth, low-friction flows. The entire experience happens in one place.
  • Relevance beats complexity. A basic setup with platform-native creatives and the right GEO still crushed it.
  • Kazakhstan is 100% worth testing. Telegram is huge there, and users engage deeply.
  • Postback tracking is worth adding. If you want to scale or optimize with CPA Goal or SmartCPC, it makes a big difference.
  • Localizing creatives and testing more GEOs would likely boost performance further.
