Voluum custom domain with SSL

Hello,

I am using voluum discover plan.
I created cusom domain and I want to make it use SSL.

As stated on this thread: https://afflift.com/f/threads/is-there-any-way-to-provide-ssl-to-my-custom-domain.5133/
I understand I cannot do that with discover plan - thought I could.

I don't want to pay for the profit. it is too expensive.

How much SSL is essential?
Should I move to another tracker, one that allows SSL from default - if so - which one do you recommend.
