At the end of last year, I launched a virtual pet site/game with my kids called MiroPets. I did a follow along here on affLIFT as we worked towards our first 1,000 users. Overall, things went pretty well. We got active users, we earned a little money, and the game was picking up. Unfortunately, the monetization of it was harder than I had expected. It earned just under $300 after a few months and about $1000 spend (not including my time, AI usage, etc). So, I took a break from the project.
While I was away, the game died a bit but we did keep active users.
Well, earlier this month while I was on vacation, I decided to play around with it a bit more to test Fable. Immediately, I was impressed by Fable and immediately I decided that maybe I need to give this another shot.
I've had Fable + Opus 5 + Hermes w/ GPT 5.6 doing work on the site. Because gpt-image-2 is so good, we've been able to make massive improvements to the graphic design and with Fable being so good at coding, we've been able to improve a lot of the functionality.
