How many conversions and days before starting to optimize?

Hi guys, i'm a newbie on push, tested my first campaign and investing $40 per day on it (4th day now), and I was wondering how many conversions should I reach before starting to optimize?

Also how many days do you guys recommend in order to get a good idea on what's happening?
