First thing most publishers tell us after week 1 on MGID One isn't 'my RPM went up.' It's 'why was day 3 so bumpy?'
Sharing a roundup of recurring feedback from publishers in their first month โ figured aggregating it would be more useful than another marketing post.
SETUP TIME โ "easier than expected"
The most common piece of feedback in week 1 is that onboarding is lighter than publishers expect. The standard rollout is layout audit on day 1, tag live by day 4-5, no dev work beyond pasting one script. CWV impact: typically zero in the rollouts we've measured.
WEEK 1 โ calibration is real (the day-3 bump)
Publishers consistently flag that week 1 is a calibration period rather than a result. RPM is often flat or slightly down for the first 3-4 days while the AI layout optimization figures out the site. We tell publishers this on day 1 but it's the most common 'thing I wish I'd known' in retro feedback. So saying it here too: hold the line through day 5.
WEEK 2 โ the lift starts showing
The most common formats publishers cite as early lift drivers are smart widget
