Hey everyone,

I'm sharing a case study on a vertical that I've been having a lot of success with lately: Microfinance (MFO) offers in Tier-2 GEOs.

This is a departure from the usual high-payout, high-competition Tier-1 offers. Instead, I've been focusing on a volume and efficiency model that has proven to be incredibly profitable.

The Campaign Details:

Vertical:
Microfinance (MFO) / Short-Term Loans
GEOs: Mexico (MX) & Philippines (PH)
Traffic Source: Facebook Mobile Ads
Offers: Sourced from Leadgid (they have a great selection of MFO offers for these GEOs)
Funnel: Ad -> Mobile-Optimized Pre-Lander -> Offer

The Strategy: Mobile, Speed, and Qualification​


The entire strategy was built around the typical MFO user: someone on a mobile device who needs a fast, simple solution. My goal was to create a frictionless funnel that pre-qualifies leads to maximize my approval rate.

The Pre-Lander:

This was the key to the campaign's success. I built it from the ground up to be a "qualification machine."

Technology: Pure HTML/CSS/JS, no heavy frameworks. Page load speed was under 1 second.
Content (Above the Fold): A simple checklist with the main eligibility criteria (age, residency, minimum income). This immediately filtered out a huge chunk of unqualified traffic.
