Hey affLIFT
Quick question before we introduce ourselves.
Quick question before we introduce ourselves.
How much did your network make off your traffic last month?
Most of us never see that number. Take your monthly payout, divide it by (1 - your network’s margin), and subtract your payout. At 8,000€ a month and a typical 20% margin, advertisers paid about 10,000€ for your traffic. That’s 2,000€ a month that never shows up on any invoice.
Below: a quick way to estimate your own number, and the model we built so that number is zero.

How a classic network makes money
Nothing shady here, it’s just the model. The advertiser pays the network, the network keeps a margin, you get what’s left. In most verticals that margin sits somewhere between 15% and 35%. It can also differ per campaign inside the same network, depending on how each advertiser deal was negotiated.
To be fair, a lot of that margin pays for real work. Networks often pay you before the advertiser pays them. They run affiliate managers, compliance, fraud checks and tools. That costs money and we’re not pretending otherwise.
The problem is how it scales. The margin is a percentage,
