I was pretty impressed with the work Luke did with his zonedatabase.com project, so I wanted to do something similar, but for Optee. It’s been in the works for some time now, but not yet ready to be published.
So, I wanted to give you a sneak peak first. I’m not sure if there is a single traffic source which shows the source website, so something like this could be useful when running campaigns.
RollerAds doesn't even have a {domain} token. Neither do PopAds or PopCash. You get a zone ID, and that's it.
But the zone ID isn't a secret. Every publisher has to paste the ad tag into their site, and the zone ID sits right there in the page code. So, if you know what to look for, you can check it yourself in about 30 seconds.
For the last couple of months, I've been building a database that does this at scale. It finds sites that run ad tags, opens them, reads the zone IDs from the code and saves which zone belongs to which site. Right now it has over 50,000 zones
