Hey all,
I have an opportunity to score an aged domain name that a local business dropped sometime ago for cheap.
It has an decent DR and some great active backlinks already built.
Issue is they (the previous business owners) still have their business running and own the .net variation now.
For example:
Al’sBootBarn.com (for sale)
Al’sBootBarn.net (previous business now owns)
It’s a small local restaurant and they just use their .net domain for menu and ordering. (Small mom and pop. Not a huge brand name restaurant)
Wanted to pick up this domain to turn into an affiliate/display ad type of blog. (Also would be cool to create a follow along with it if I do decide to pick it up)
also there is no trademark that I could find on the term.
My question is do you guys think it’s worth picking up the domain and building a blog on it?
Or is there more legal risk than it’s worth?
Anyone have any experience with
