Passing info to aff netw

Hi, is it correct in this string ( &pub_click_id={clickid}&site={var1}&pub_sub_id={var2}) I'm passing to aff netw ( string is part of offer URL) data about which site/zone/source is converting or not from my traffic source? If what I'm saying is correct why should I pass this info provided I do not optimize on the aff netw side but on traffic source side or tracker. What advantage is giving me passing this info, if any?
I am asking as I noticed that every aff netw using this format and not only the {clickid}, for some reason once the offer starts converting either conversions drop abruptly or get to zero for many hours...just trying to understand where the problem is in my funnel and
