Just seen this on the BBC. Binance says around $6.3 billion in crypto assets have been affected by a hack, with roughly half frozen so far.
Withdrawals have been suspended and Binance says it will cover the losses.
Early findings reportedly point to a compromised engineer's laptop. That's a bloody expensive laptop problem if you ask me lol
Thought it was worth sharing here for anyone receiving affiliate payouts in crypto or keeping funds on Binance. Even with a promise to cover losses, not being able to withdraw is hardly ideal if you need that money for campaigns.
Anyone here affected by the withdrawal pause?
