If you're into AI and on X, then you've probably seen someone talking about Omarchy. The cofounder of Basecamp/Hey/etc is the creator.
Omarchy is a new Linux based operating system that is AI central. At least, that's how I think about it. It's supposed to be beautiful and simplistic. It is. But, the core benefit in my opinion is that it's been built completely by AI and seems to be built for AI.
I got a 16GB flash drive, put the iso on it, partitioned my gaming PC hard drive, and installed Omarchy. It literally installed in less than 2 minutes.
I played around with Linux in college. I run Linux servers. This is my first time in a long time using a Linux OS on my PC though. Omarchy is pretty sweet.
This video is from a computer guy and I think it's really good showing what Omarchy is all about:
I am not using it as my primary OS. I still prefer Mac and I'm very happy with my Macbook Air for my work station. However, I played around more with Omarchy this weekend and will likely play with it as a hobby
