.Start with Pop traffic, as it’s the path of least resistance. Unlike Push traffic, it eliminates the variable of creatives, making things simpler.
.Start with Tier 3 countries. Beginning with these countries allows you to run more zones/placements with a smaller budget and gather more data.
.Start optimization with blacklisting. From the very beginning of the campaign, you can block underperforming zones/placements to better save your budget and test more of them. Only after covering most zones/placements can you say you’ve gathered enough data.
.Start with low-payout offers. Experienced marketers often say they convert well, but I didn’t fully understand what that meant at first. Good conversion doesn’t necessarily mean profitability, but it does help you gather more data. Even if the payout is too low to make the campaign profitable, it’s okay—as long as it converts well, the same blacklist and whitelist can be applied to similar offers.

.Set a daily loss limit for yourself—for example, allow yourself to lose up to $20 a day. This kind of budget setting helps establish a psychological bottom line, meaning the most you’ll lose is a manageable amount that won’t affect your mood or daily life.
