It doesn’t take much investigating to see that pop traffic sources are being used to build Push lists.
It's a trend that's popular enough for a large/reputable pop traffic network to recently send out a mailshot about it, promoting the trend that I'm sure is a solid revenue stream for Pop networks:
What I'm getting from this is two things:
1. There is a lot of pop traffic activity building push lists
2. I question the engagement quality around push lists built from pops.
It's mainly point 2 that concerns me - that push traffic from users that have been added to push lists with no context, by for example 'clicking to continue', I would question the quality & engagement potential of the traffic.
So my question is - do all Push traffic networks use Pops to build their lists, or is this method typically used for
