Think Black Friday is big? It’s nothing compared to China’s Singles Day!
If you think fall season has only Halloween and Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping extravaganzas, you’re luckily wrong. Originating in China, the unofficial holiday and shopping season Singles Day is a huge event for retailers, customers and of course affiliate marketers, and not only in China. Southeast Asian, Russian and US markets are welcoming the 11.11 shopping festival too.
This shopping event is 3 times larger than Black Friday and Cyber Monday, both of those
dates put together.

1. Singles Day definitely gives Black Friday a run for its money with Alibaba and JD.com racking up around $139 billion of sales across their platforms on China’s Singles Day shopping event last year, setting a new record.
2. 290 000 brands participated in Singles Day on Alibaba's properties alone.
3. 78 brands saw tenfold growth, topping out over ¥100 million in sales, while 36 brands topped ¥1 billion in revenue.
