About to recieve payment. Asked for insertion order, safe to sign?

Sorry for the newbie question, it's just I've been worried about something. I've reached the threshold to get paid on one of the CPA networks I work with. But in order to get paid, I'm asked to sign an insertion order that is legally binding. Has anyone else signed an insertion order? is it common in the affiliate marketing space?
