Why all redirects in a aff link ?

Hi, why an aff link have so many redirects ? Whats the advantage for the offer owner or the aff network ? Shouldnt my campaign link go straight to the offer fro faster and better conversion ? I assume this redirect frenzy is unavoidable ... correct ?
